Sarawak Energy Signs MoU With Unimas For Collaboration

KUCHING: Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas).
The areas of collaboration include feasibility studies and consultancy works, research and development activities as well as industry knowledge transfers. The memorandum also include staff exchange, internship placement and student ambassador activities, aimed at human capital development and skills enhancement.
The MoU builds on the strong working relationship between SEB and Unimas in biodiversity research and human resource employee engagement survey.
Addressing the guests before the signing ceremony, SEB Group chief executive officer Sharbini Suhaili said the MoU would mutually benefit both SEB and Unimas.
“SEB invests significantly in staff development and training programmes as well as makes material social investments through our annual higher eduction scholarship programme for our bright young Sarawakians.
“Working together with Unimas through this MoU provides us with an additional platform to enhance and reinforce capability in Sarawak,” added Sharbini.
Signing the MoU with Sharbini on behalf of SEB was Nooruddin Abdullah, Senior Vice President, Legal and Enterprise Risk.
Vice Chancellor Professor Datuk Dr Mohamad Kadim Suaidi and Associate Professor Dr Shahren Ahmad Zaidi Adruce signed on behalf of Unimas.
