He related that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak was pleased that the Orang Ulu community in Baram had been receptive to development programmes initiated by the government, and cited the many projects implemented that had benefited the people in the area.
In addition, he continued, the government had many projects in the pipeline for them because it wanted them to enjoy better standards of living like other communities.
Later, Jabu pledged RM15,000 in Minor Rural Project (MRP) grant to the village security and development committee (JKKK) of Long Semiang for building a concrete path to connect the three blocks of longhouses in the village.
