Sarawak Micro Credit Scheme (SMCS) is a financial assistance in terms of soft loan to the B40 entrepreneurs, small and micro enterprises. This scheme is open to sarawakians (bumiputera and non-bumiputera) who reside and operate their business in Sarawak in all business sectors except agriculture. This financial assistance is only applicable for working capital, renovation of business premises and purchasing of machinery and equipment.
There are two type of Sarawak Micro Credit Scheme as follow:

Type  1:

Loan/Financing Amount: RM1,000.00 - RM10,000.00
  • Applicable for B40 entrepreneurs only
  • Zero interest/profit
  • Minimum Requirement: Business Permits issued by Councils or relevant authorities
  • Loan/Financing Tenure: 1-3 years
 
Type 2:

Loan/Financing Amount: RM5,001.00 - RM50,000.00
  • Applicable for B40 entrepreneurs, micro and small enterprises
  • 4% interest/profit
  • Minimum Requirement: Business Registration from District Office or LHDN or SSM and relevant licences
  • Loan/Financing Tenure: 1-5 year
  1. Sarawakian (Bumiputera or Non-Bumiputera)
  2. Resides and operates business in Sarawak
  3. Has operated business for at least 6 months
  4. Open to all business sector except agriculture
 
  1. A copy of valid business permit or business registration or business license with relevant  authorities
  2. A copy of MyKads  of all the directors / owners / partners
  3. Bank statements for the last 6 months
  4. Other supporting documents as required by bank

The Sarawak Micro Credit Scheme (SMCS) can be applied through the following channels:
