Bantuan Ibu Bersalin (BIB) is an initiative by the Sarawak Government that provides a cash grant of RM450.00 to every mother who gives birth to a Sarawak-born child. The assistance aims to support mothers’ needs, such as postnatal care and healthy nutrition during the confinement period. The initiative was introduced in 2020 and is open to all mothers regardless of race, religion or socioeconomic status.
  1. An active and verified SarawakPass (formerly known as SarawakID) account
  2. An active SPayGlobal account
  3. A copy of the applicant’s Identity Card (front and back) or passport biopage
  4. A copy of the husband’s/guardian’s Identity Card (front and back) or passport biopage
  5. A copy of the Marriage Certificate if the applicant does not hold ‘K’ status
  6. A copy of the Maternal Health Record Book (front page)
  7. A copy of the Doctor’s Confirmation / Hospital Discharge Note / Baby’s Birth Certificate.
Online application through the iSarawakCare portal

  1. A Malaysian mother with 'K' (Sarawak) resident status, or the wife of a Malaysian citizen with 'K' (Sarawak) resident status
  2. Has given birth to a child either in or outside Sarawak
  3. Has delivered at 22 weeks of gestation or above.
  4. Applications may be submitted from after childbirth up to three (3) months postpartum or from 22 weeks of gestation onwards (including stillbirth or miscarriage only)
