MIRI: Mastery of science and technology would enable students to hold their own anywhere in the world.
Piasau Assemblyman Datuk Sebastian Ting said this when officiating at SMK St Columba Miri’s Curriculum and Co-academic Carnival Day 2018 at the school premises yesterday
“Understanding the importance of education and with the right exposure, I’m sure our students are capable of achieving great success in the global arena,” he stated.
Ting who is also Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate for P.219 Miri in the forthcoming 14th General Election (GE14) advised the students to strive to do well not only academically but also in practical skills.
“As our country is striving to be a fully developed country by 2020, you will be able to join the workforce with the holistic education provided in the school, home and society,” he said.
He commended the school for holding the event which impacted the students.
Also present was the school principal Subah anak Nyareng.
