A total of 301 cases related to illegal swiftlets farms or houses were investigated under Wild

Life Protection Ordinance, 1998 and National Parks and Nature Reserves Ordinance, 1998.

In 2009, there were six new cases filed while 19 cases were compounded for a total amount

of RM468,685.49. A total of 287 cases were pending decision while 40 cases were closed
as shown in the table below:
