In the year under review, there were several major functions and programmes conducted by
Forest Department Sarawak throughout the year and the following are some of the
highlights:
A. Dialogue Session with Director of Forests and officers

On 13 -15 January 2009, dialogues between the Director of Forests and officers of the

department at regional level were held in Sibu, Bintulu and Miri with the aim of creating
rapport between the staff and the management.
In his speech, the Director mentioned that the Forest Department was in the revival stage
and the staff needed to come back with new spirit and serve the Department with
dedication to meet the objective of its vision and mission to be on par with other
departments. He also stressed the importance of teamwork among staff to foster positive
attitude. There was also Q&A session between the Director and staff from various divisions.
