3. Monitoring of Royalty and Premium Collection

Monitoring of the payment of royalty and premium bills issued is conducted to ensure there

is no outstanding bill. Monitoring also ensures surcharge to be imposed on every
outstanding bill (royalty bill only) and action taken to recover the amount. Monitoring also

ensures a uniform practice in revenue collecting system throughout the state, i.e. when to
impose surcharge and should be on royalty bill only.


4. Revenue Auditing at SFC Regional Office and all District Customer Service Centre (DCSC)

Revenue audit was carried out to ensure revenue due to Government are accounted for and
collected on time and in accordance to Forests Ordinance (Cap. 126), Forest Rules, 1962,

Forest Timber Licence Conditions, DF’s Circular and other requirement. Revenue audit were
carried out in Kuching, Sibu, Bintulu and Miri. Any non-compliances and observations were

reported to Sarawak Forestry Corporation for corrective actions. Serious irregularities

detected, the consignment will be seized and it will be reported to Sarawak Forestry
Corporation for further investigation.
