2. Model Planted Forest Project


The Model Planted Forest Project site is located at Sabal Forest Reserve, Samarahan

Division, within an area of 536 hectares. The objectives are to implement research and
development to assist planted forest planting industry; to produce a good clone or hybrid

suitable for planted forest; and to function as a source of reference, consultative and
advisory activities related to the development of planted forests. The planting compartments

in Sarawak for 2009 are outlined in the table 16 below.
