CM Approves RM1 Million For New School Building

Mukah: Chief Minister Tan Sri Datuk Amar Adenan Satem has approved RM1 million to equip the new building of  Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Datu Pengiran Mohamad at Oya near here.

He said besides meeting the urgent needs of the school the grant was also a gift to the school to mark his visit to Oya.

“Owing to lot of things yet to be equipped at the school and the financial assistance sought by Dalat assemblywoman, Datuk Fatimah Abdullah, I approved RM1 million to be channelled before year end,” he said when officiating at the opening of the new school building cum Aidilfitri gathering at Oya yesterday.

Touching on the coming state election, he said for Dalat area, there was no other candidate besides  Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate because it was clear and proven that Fatimah, the present people’s representative, had worked so hard to safeguard the interest of the people.

“The people’s representative in the constituency for N.50 Dalat Fatimah has relentlessly safeguarded the interests of the people in her constituency and she is also a very good person and very efficient in her duties,” he said.

Adenan also urged all Sarawakians to rally behind him in developing the state to be a progressive one.

“Help me to develop this state, struggle for Sarawak and not for me. I assure that with the close cooperation and unity from all the people I will be able to spearhead our state to the direction of a better and progressive in future to come.”

Fatimah, Mukah member of parliament Dato Sri Muhammad Leo Toyad Abdullah, Igan MP Datuk Abdul Wahab Dolah and Balingian Assemblyman Yussibnosh Balo were among those present.
