Strategic Plan 2025 - 2030 | MEITD
Message from the Deputy Minister II
(Talent Development)
As Sarawak advances toward becoming a high-
income and innovation-driven economy, the
imperative to cultivate a skilled, agile, and future-ready
workforce has never been more critical. The MEITD
Strategic Plan 2025–2030 sets out a bold vision to
transform our talent development landscape through
an inclusive, data-driven, and industry-aligned
approach.
This plan recognizes that talent is the engine of
sustainable development. It outlines comprehensive
strategies to strengthen technical and vocational
education, promote lifelong learning, and build a
robust pipeline of skills for emerging sectors such as
digital technology, green economy, advanced
manufacturing, and biotechnology. Equally important
is our commitment to workforce inclusivity—ensuring
that rural communities, women, youth, and
marginalized groups are equipped with opportunities
to participate meaningfully in Sarawak ’s socio-
economic transformation.
Central to this agenda is the alignment between
education and employment. MEITD will intensify collaborations with industries, training institutions,
and government agencies to ensure our workforce development programmes remain relevant,
responsive, and impactful. The plan also places emphasis on nurturing entrepreneurial mindsets and
leadership capabilities that are essential for innovation and job creation in a competitive global
environment.
I invite all stakeholders to take an active role in implementing this strategic plan. Together, we can
build a resilient, empowered, and competitive workforce that will secure Sarawak ’s position as a
leading force in the regional and global economy.
