Message from the Minister

Education, innovation, and talent
development are central to Sarawak ’s
transformation into a high-income,
knowledge-driven, and globally competitive
economy. The Strategic Plan 2025–2030
provides a vital roadmap to align our human
capital development with the evolving global
landscape, ensuring that Sarawak remains
future-ready and resilient.

This plan reflects MEITD ’s strong commitment
to excellence, inclusivity, and sustainability. It
outlines focused strategies to enhance access
to education, promote innovation, and
develop a highly skilled, adaptable workforce.
These efforts are aligned with the Post-
COVID-19 Development Strategy (PCDS)
2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals
(SDGs), reinforcing our long-term vision for
inclusive growth.

Amid rapid advancements in digital
technologies and industry transformation, the plan prioritises STEM and TVET education,
research commercialisation, and robust public-private partnerships. Through collaboration with
government agencies, industries, academia, and global partners, MEITD aims to foster a culture
of innovation, lifelong learning, and talent excellence.

I extend my sincere appreciation to all stakeholders and MEITD personnel for their contributions
to this strategic process. As we move forward, I invite all partners to actively support the plan ’s
implementation and help position Sarawak as a regional leader in education, research, and
talent development.
