Strategic Plan 2025 - 2030 | MEITD

Education serves as the cornerstone of
MEITD ’s mission to advance sustainable
development and prepare a future-ready
workforce. By facilitating access to quality
education, fostering equitable
opportunities, and supporting lifelong
learning, MEITD ensures that Sarawak ’s
citizens are empowered with the
knowledge, skills, and competencies
necessary to contribute meaningfully to the
state ’s socio-economic and environmental
goals. Through its focus on education,
MEITD aims to address disparities,
enhance learning outcomes, and align
educational initiatives with the needs of
Sarawak ’s evolving industries and
communities.

While MEITD does not directly implement educational programs, it plays a pivotal role in supporting
institutions through infrastructure development, policy facilitation, and stakeholder collaboration.
These efforts are aligned with Sarawak ’s Post-COVID-19 Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030 and
global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to ensure inclusive, equitable, and high-quality
education for all.
