Strategic Plan 2025 - 2030 | MEITD
Overview
As Sarawak advances towards becoming a developed and high-income economy under PCDS 2030,
higher education plays a crucial role in driving human capital development, research excellence, and
global competitiveness. This strategic objective aims to position Sarawak as a regional hub for higher
education, attracting domestic and international students, researchers, and academic collaborations
through world-class institutions, industry-aligned programs, and cutting-edge research ecosystems.
By strengthening the academic reputation, institutional capacity, and global linkages of state-owned
universities and technical institutions, Sarawak can emerge as a premier destination for higher
