By 2030, the following key outcomes will be achieved in the Education and Human Capital

Employability & TVET ● > 80% real employability rate for graduates of Institutes of
Readiness Higher Learning (IHLs) and TVET institutions, benefiting
from the Human Resource Development Fund (HRDF) Act
coverage.

Education Access & ● 100% of Sarawakian children will have access to quality
Literacy education, complete mandatory schooling, and be able to
read and write by the time they complete Primary 6.

STEM Education & ● > 60% STEM enrolment in upper secondary education.
Awareness

STEM Awareness & ● > 80% average score in the Sarawak STEM Awareness
Engagement Index.

TVET Expansion ● > 20% of SPM leavers enrolled in TVET programs.

Innovation & ● > 40% of schools participate in national or international-level
Competitiveness innovation programs/competitions.

These outcomes reinforce Sarawak ’s commitment to enhancing education accessibility,
strengthening STEM and TVET education, increasing workforce employability, and fostering
an innovation-driven economy.
