The Hyperspectral Sensing Program
(Technology Applications for Natural
Resource Assessment) was the current
technology that has been developed by
the Department to gain detailed forest
cover parameters and be able to identify
species of the trees. It was initiated
through the collaboration with Spectral
Imaging (SPECIM) of Finland for the
development of the Airborne
Hyperspectral Imaging System
(AHIS).
