To enhance quality of services delivered, the Board spent RM 181,170 or 1.96% of
Administration cost in training staff on various aspects in 2017.
About 99 courses, seminar or conferences consisting of both technical and non-technical had
been approved for the staff to attend during the year. With 25 courses held in-house, the program
enabled 179 personnel or 99.00% of the staff, 16 K-Klinik is also conducted to enable all the staff
to obtain continual personal Development (CPD) hours set by the organization according to State
Secretary’s Surat Pekeliling (Perj. Bil.5/2016) Dasar Baru Jam Latihan Setahun Bagi Kakitangan
Perkhidmatan Awam Negeri Sarawak dated 30 Mac 2016.

industrial Training & Placement
We coordinate emplacement of students from over 30 learning institutions comprising universities,
skill institutes, colleges and polytechnics both within and outside Sarawak to undergo their
industrial training covering multi-disciplines of Engineering (Civil, Structural, Geographical,
Chemical, Mechanical & Electrical/Electronic), Information Technology, Finance Accounting &
Marketing, and Human Resource Development students at the Board.
The Industrial Training Placement coordinated had been acknowledged to provide students
exposure to multi-disciplinary professions, upgrading their practical skills as well as preparation
of their readiness for the job market upon graduation.
