The major development of the Board under the last of 11 Malaysia Plan included implementation of the

i. Program Mengurangkan Kadar Air Tidak Berhasil Negeri Sarawak (Fasa 2) – Lembaga Air Sibu
ii. Membaikpulih Sistem Agihan Negeri Sarawak (Fasa 2) – Lembaga Air Sibu
iii. Tanjung Manis Water Supply Phase 1

The Board had allocated RM5 million for development projects in 2016, which marked the one (1) year
@ irst of the 11 Malaysia Plan. Total amount spent was RM4,484,984.06 which was made up of NRW

(Fasa 2) RM2,277,166.78 or 51%. Membaikpulih Sistem Agihan Negeri Sarawak RM2,073,679.50 or
46%, and other development RM134,137.78 or 3%. For water supply project for Pulau Bruit and Paloh
allocated RM10 million.
For Tanjung Manis Water Supply Phase 1, the Board is implementing the project on behalf of the State
Government. The fund is allocated to the Board as grant based on submission of claims from consultants,
contractors and other Agencies.

raw Water Intake Using river Bank Filtration system (rBF)
Contract Sum : RM73,987,000.00
Date of Commencement : 11.11.2013
Date of Practical Completion : TBA
Contractor : KCK Konsortium Sdn. Bhd.
Consultant : G&P Professional (Sarawak)
Sdn. Bhd.
Physical Work Done up to 31.12.2016 : 71.49%
Scheduled progress up to 31.12.2016 : 100%
Remarks : Delay due to the constructed ive (5) nos. of RBF could only produce raw water at 51.5 MLD
based on overall pumping test, which is below the contractual requirement of 125 MLD. SWB/Consultants
are dealing with Contractor on the rectiication works/ contractual matters due to the unfuilled obligation
by the Contractor. High ammonia content was also recorded in raw water causing the raw water to be
untreatable. SWB is currently dealing with the issue of raw water source and no major physical activities
on site since July 2016.
