BIMP - EAGA (SOCIAL, CULTURAL AND EDUCATION CLUSTER)
A platform for sharing best practices in Technical and Vocational Education and
Training (TVET) within the Brunei Darussalam-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East
ASEAN Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA), focusing on skills development, industry-institution
partnerships, and regional TVET transformation.
BIMP-EAGA TVET CONFERENCE
A platform for sharing best practices in TVET talent development
and fostering industry-institution collaboration within BIMP-EAGA,
with emphasis on public–private partnerships. It aims to:
Integrate essential 21st-century skills into TVET curricula to
produce future-ready graduates.
Address the evolution of TVET amid rapid technological
advances and workforce transformations.
Promote networking and collaborative intelligence across
stakeholders.
Advanced Sustainable Technology
International Conference and Exhibition
(ASTECH)
The main objective of this initiative is to identify effective solutions
to key issues while equipping the younger generation with future-
relevant skills. ASTECH 2024 is also a strategic initiative aimed at
achieving a target of 30 to 40 percent skilled workforce by 2030,
not only in Pure Sciences but also in TVET, in line with the Post
COVID-19 Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030.
Konvesyen Universiti
Universitas Borneo (KUUB)
The Konsortium Universiti Universitas Borneo (KUUB), comprising 17
universities from Malaysia, Indonesia, and Brunei, aims to position
Borneo as a leading hub for higher education and research in
Southeast Asia. KUUB promotes regional integration, academic
collaboration, and human capital development aligned with national
strategies such as Malaysia’s PCDS 2030. The KUUB Convention 2024 in
Brunei marked a milestone with new partnerships and shared
commitments to advancing education and innovation in the region.
