The 48 Session of the International Tropical
Timber Council (ITTC) meeting was held at
Yokohama, Japan on 5 November 2012.
The Signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between
State Government of Sarawak and Japan Research Consortium
by Director of Forests Sarawak, YBhg. Datu Haji Ali Yusop and
Prof. Tohru Nakashizuka (Toru Asano) Chief Research
Coordinator, Japan on 5 November 2012.
A dialogue on timber trade with Japanese importers in
Yokohama, Japan headed by YB Datuk Amar Haji Awang
Tengah Ali Hasan, Minister of Resource Planning and
Environment II, Minister of Public Utilities & Minister of
Industrial Development on 5 November 2012.
The visit of Delegation of State Forestry Administration People‟s
Republic of China to Regional Forest Office Kuching on 29
November 2012. The delegation was led by Mr. Zhao Shucong,
Administrator of the State Forestry Administration.
An Environmental Awareness Programme was held at Kampung
Selabat Pasir Putih, Kuching on 1 December 2012. Deputy
Director of Forests Tuan Haji Wan Shardini Wan Salleh officiated
at the function.
A total of 85 officers led by Tuan Haji Wan Shardini Wan Salleh,
Deputy Director of Forests Sarawak attended the State Civil Service
Day 2012 (Hari Perkhidmatan Awam) at Borneo Convention Centre
Kuching on 5 December 2012. The event was officially launched by
YAB Pehin Sri Haji Abdul Taib Mahmud, Chief Minister of Sarawak.
The Excellent Service Awards was held at Kemena Hotel, Bintulu
on 10 December 2012. The event was graced by Assistant
Minister of Environment Sarawak, YB Datu Haji Len Talif Salleh.
