Alan Shorea albida, a heavy, red wood; trees producing wood of light
hardwood class are known as Alan bunga.
Bakau Rhizophora spp; used as fuel, piling and chipping for the manufacture of
rayon.
Belian Eusideroxylon zwageri, a very strong durable wood.
Bindang Agathis alba, a coniferous species.
Bintangor Calophyllum spp; a good quality medium hardwood.
Damar Resin, particularly of Dipterocarpaceae.
Engkabang A generic term for the species of Shorea that produce illipenuts.
Working Plan A document which lays down the ways which a particularly area of
permanent forest shall be worked and subsequently managed so as to
achieve the State‟s forest policy of sustainable forest management.
Felling Plan Similar to a Working Plan but applicable to Stateland Forest only.
Gaharu Fungal infected heartwood of certain timbers in the family Tymeliaceae;
collected and exported as an incense wood.
Illipenuts Oilseeds obtained from certain Shorea spp; exported for the extraction
of fat for use in the manufacture of chocolate.
Jelutong Dyera spp; the latex is the principal ingredient in chewing gum.
Jongkong Dactylocladus stenostachys, a light hardwood.
