Timber sector will continue to play significant role

now and in future as it remains the mainstay of the

state’s economy

Minister of Sarawak, Datuk Amar
Haji Zohari Bin Datuk Abang
Haji Openg commended STIDC and the
Ministry of Industrial and Entrepreneur
Development, Trade & Investment of
Sarawak for successfully organising the
third Sarawak Timber and SMEs Expo
2017.

According to him, the Expo should be
seen as a strategic collaboration between
the local timber suppliers, furniture
manufacturers and SMEs towards building
a stronger market for made in Sarawak
products. He believed the participation
of international exhibitors would further
enhance business networking and at the
same time promoting the products of
Sarawak because there are huge potential
for Sarawak to enhance synergies in trade
and investment with global players.
