Construction works at the Bengoh Dam site. Pada masa ini, banyak projek
pembangunan yang sedang rancak
dijalankan dalam Bahagian Kuching yang
apabila siap nanti akan meningkatkan
lagi status negeri dan kesejahteraan
rakyat. Diantara yang telah siap adalah
bangunan Dewan undangan Negeri
Sarawak yang baharu dan Pusat
Konvensyen Borneo. Selain itu, Projek
Mitigasi Banjir, Projek Pengurusan
Air Terbuang Bersepadu dan Projek
Ampangan Air Bengoh adalah pada
peringkat pelaksanaan. Projek-projek
ini bila siap nanti akan dapat melindungi
sebahagian besar penduduk di Bahagian
Kuching daripada dilanda bencana banjir
dan berupaya meningkatkan mutu
kehidupan penduduknya.

At present, many development projects
are implemented. When completed
these projects will improve the State’s
economic status and the well-being of its
population. The completed ones are the
new Dewan Undangan Negeri building
and the new Borneo Convention Centre.
Besides that are the flood mitigation
project, the Integrated Wastewater
Management System and Bengoh Dam
in various stages of implementation.
When completed these projects will
be able to protect the bigger population
against the flood waters and will
improve the quality of living of its
population.
