The ‘Malaysia; My Second Home’ programme (or MM2H) is a campaign run by Malaysia’s Ministry of Tourism since 2002.
Through this programme, Malaysia is now attracting foreigners not just for long-stay vacations, but also as a base for conducting their business overseas, to educate their children, and for retirement or semi-retirement.
In Sarawak, the MM2H programme provides financial incentives for purchasing houses and cars, as well as tax exemptions in order to attract foreigners to permanently settle there.
